REVELATION 19:6-10
Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound
of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying:
Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, has begun to reign!
Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory,
because the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has prepared herself.
She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure.
For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.
Then he said to me, “Write: Those invited to the marriage feast
of the Lamb are fortunate!” He also said to me, “These words of God
are true.” Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,

Then He told him: “A man was giving a large banquet and invited many. At the time of the banquet, he sent his slave to tell those
who were invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’
“But without exception they all began to make excuses.
“So, the slave came back and reported these things to his master.
Then in anger, the master of the house told his slave,
‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city,
and bring in here the poor, maimed, blind, and lame!’
“ ‘Master,’ the slave said, ‘what you ordered has been done,
and there’s still room.’
Then the master told the slave, ‘Go out into the highways and lanes
and make them come in, so that my house may be filled.
For I tell you, not one of those who were invited will enjoy my banquet!’”

After our study on how the scriptures were written, who wrote them, and how they were put together…the next obvious question is “How are the scriptures translated to English (for us), what is a “paraphrase”…and why are there SO MANY English translations (why not just ONE?)…and which is the best for you?
Join Pastor Rick on Thursday October 29th at 11:00am (Schuster Chapel) for this interesting look at the “agendas” and “challenges” each translator faces.
It’s time to create CENTRAL’S PICTORIAL DIRECTORY of congreagtion worshippers for this year. We have a DIRECTORY updated every year, but every other year we put photos in it. Mike Meadows will be in the PARLOR Sundays October 4, 18, & 25 to take your photos (or he will wander around and seek you out…you cannot hide). Central would like everyone who calls CENTRAL home to be in the directory – so we’ll be looking for your fabulous face in there!
This month of OCTOBER hosts Central Christian’s annual SOCKTOBER. We are collecting new socks (the most requested items for those who are in need in our community) to be donated to those who will distribute them for us. Let’s see if we can fill the distribution boxes that will be set at each door during the month. Thank you for your generosity this month!
